Therefore, it provides humans with valuable substances. For example, pectin lowers cholesterol levels, binds to toxins and flushes them out of your body. Flavonoids and carotene appear to be able to reduce the risk of getting cancer. Apples are good for our digestive system, keep the gut flora healthy, prevent the risk of getting asthma and detoxify the liver. Studies have also shown that eating apples lowers the probability of developing dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

In addition, eating an apple before you go to bed prevents sleep disturbances, making it easier to wake up in the morning and helps to deal with nausea during pregnancy. Furthermore, apples help us to keep our teeth healthy: the apple has a strong cleansing effect due to its fibrous content and fruit acids. Apples improve our oral hygiene and work as well as a chewing gum. They boost our energy levels and they can also be used for skin treatment.
