On the 21st December 2018 two phenomenal talents from South Tyrol met at the newly opened AlpiNN - Food Space & Restaurant in Kronplatz. The ski racer and world cup champion Peter Fill paid a visit to three Micheline-starred chef Norbert Niederkofler and immersed himself in the world of food and in the philosophy of seasonal and regional cuisine.
Jürgen Braun was also part of this friendly meeting. Together with his brother Thomas Braun and their KIKU Apples, he supports top athletes and sport events. Furthermore, by meeting Norbert Niederkofler they have found somebody who shares their views on sustainability and optimal resource utilisation and they launched the Norbert with an apple to hand project.
The AlpiNN is located on top of the Kronplatz mountain and opened for the first time under the patronage of Norbert Niederkofler on the 20th December 2018. The restaurant lies at an altitude of 2,275 meters and offers a breath-taking view of the South Tyrolean Dolomites and its unspoiled nature. No wonder then that Peter Fill could not resist the calling of this fabulous place surrounded by the mountains. The day after the opening, the athlete swapped his skis for the cooking utensils and experienced first-hand what it means to transform simple, genuine and pure ingredients into food which is true to the authentic taste of local mountain cuisine.
