“Fair” news and research: the latest outcomes of the ethical farming.
February is fair time.
Fruitlogistica takes place in Berlin and it's the most important fair of fresh fruit & veggies. In fact, almost 80,000 visitors have the chance to explore 3,000 booths from almost 100 countries all over the world.
The most important fair for organic production takes place in German as well: BioFach in Nürnberg.
All the actors of the supply chain are busy working on searching for better solutions, in order to grow fruit and vegetables - including apples - in a more sustainable way every day.
Plastic? A no-go. Packaging companies offer fully degradable solutions, one of these is even based on grass!
Moreover, the choice of the varieties is the basis. More and more efforts go into robust varieties, which naturally tolerate diseases, bacterias or fungi.
The Braun brothers care about this aspect and have got only sustainable varieties in their portfolio, including the new SWING.BIO, characterized by a rustic aspect, a crunchy bite, sweet taste but elegant acidity.
